Choosing the right ventilation system for your kitchen is one of the most important decisions you can make when remodeling your kitchen. The correct range hood or downdraft vent will remove grease and other harmful cooking contaminates from the air. There are several different styles and installation options to choose from.
An under cabinet ventilation hood will mount underneath your cabinetry above your range or cooktop. This style can either be vented to the outside of the home or, with the use of a recirculation kit, recirculate the cleaned air back into the room. These types of ventilation hoods usually include a blower.
Wall mounted ventilation hoods will mount to the wall above your range or cooktop. These vent hoods come in many different designs to match any kitchen décor. Some models will include an interior blower; other models will require the purchase of an internal, external, or inline blower, depending on the design of your kitchen.
If you have a cooktop installed into an island, you may want either an island hood or a downdraft vent. The island hood is installed above the cooktop. A downdraft ventilation hood will work from behind your cooktop and retract into the countertop when not needed.
For a custom design ventilation hood, we also have a variety of hood inserts and liners. An internal, exterior, or inline blower may need to be purchased depending on the ventilation hood model.
